Dos Rios, located at the confluence of the Middle Fork of the Eel River and the mainstem, is the put-in for a popular four-day trip through the Eel River Canyon to Alderpoint. A number of trails access the river, and the highest public use is by summer swimmers downstream near the Eel River Work Center and Eel River Campground.

Anglers are awarded excellent warm water catches, especially large mouth bass, white and black crappie.
Feb 13, 2018 · Crappie and bass fishing are outstanding on the reservoir. Excellent camping close to the dam at the State Park and a few freebie places along the river. The Owyhee does have a mercury advisory, if you are concerned about that sort of thing, and the amount of fish you are suppose to eat from that water is minimal.

If you mean the Owyhee Reservoir it is very limited for vehicle access in March with access often limited to the North (the dam) and and the South end (Leslie Gulch). The Owyhee River, below the dam from the Owyhee Reservoir, holds some nice Brown Trout and some decent Rainbow Trout! We have been there a few times now and we are never disappointed. You MUST catch and release all the Brown Trout you catch but you can keep any Rainbow Trout …North Fork Recreation Site is set in a canyon along the North Fork of the Owyhee River. Juniper trees dot the hills and a few are scattered about the recreation site. Willows line the river and even provide some small bit of shade for a couple of the campsites. The river below camp enters a steep walled rocky canyon with huge boulders everywhere.We spent about 2 hours in the museum below the dam then went in a cabin and slept for a couple hours until they had finally cleared the road enough for us to leave the workers told us that the mudslide right below us was the worst mudslide any of them had seen. we didn’t get home until about 3 A.M. that was a horrible night 👎 @ Owyhee Dam Park
